Brahmi turns 'confused' Kareena Kapoor

Star comedian Brahmanandam played several memorable characters in his long film career and the audience will be in splits every time he appears on the screen. The trend of giving a funny name to the character he plays in the films is continuing since few years to evoke some laughter. After playing 'Vidya Balan' in Raviteja's Daruvu, our Comedy Kind will be seen as 'confused' Kareena Kapoor who is very strong in Software in his upcoming flick 'Back Bench Student'. Brahmi's posters were effectively used by the makers to grab the attention of film lovers. Another pivotal character in the film has been played by senior comedian Ali. He will be seen as project manager Diwakar who is very weak in English. The prime focus of the film buffs will be on these two star comedians, more the lead pair. So, the fate of this small budget flick will depend mostly on their comedy episodes. Let's wait till March 15th to know if they succeeded in tickling the funny bones of the audience.

Romance Nag in Akkineni multi-starrer

Shriya Saran who was reprising the role of a prostitute in her upcoming woman-oriented flick 'Pavitra' has been roped to play the female lead opposite Nagarjuna once again. The film titled as 'Manam' stars the three generation Akkineni heroes (ANR, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya) in the lead. While Shriya would be romancing Nag, Samantha is likely to pair opposite Chaitu to complete the hat-trick after 'Ye Maya Chesave' and 'Autonagar Surya'. Director Vikram Kumar of Ishq fame is wielding the megaphone for this prestigious project. It's now official that Shriya will be sharing screen space with Nag for the fourth time. Earlier, they teamed up for the flicks like 'Santhosham', 'Nenunnanu' and 'Boss'. Akkineni Nageswara Rao has been deliberately avoiding the film assignments since few years and focussing just on few special characters in devotional movies. It would be nice to see him in a commercial film after so many years. Wish him good heath and expect some celluloid wonders.

Telugabbayi Follows Telugammayi

When a song clicks in Tollywood, our makers rush to theatres to register the lyrics of that song as a title. But those titles don't flick many a times and here are two classic examples. Rajamouli's 'Maryada Ramanna' features one of the best melodious song 'telugammayi telugammayi', hero Sunil singing that for heroine Saloni. However some craze enthusiastic makers have registered the title 'Telugammayi' and made a movie with Saloni in the lead. And now, a movie titled 'Telugabbayi' was released with Tanish as hero inspiring from that. Both the flicks have bitten dust for their poor content and soapy, sloppy narrations. This is a clear indication that cashing on the craze will not succeed all the times. Sometime back 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' succeed to the core in that way, as that title is derived from superhit song of same name from Varsham movie. After that we have seen only flops that followed this inspiration.
