Mahesh to Extend his Frontiers

Mahesh Babu is undoubtedly the leading star in Tollywood now. There may be debates about his position as number one hero, but inarguably he is leading the pack of Telugu superstars at this point. For some reason Mahesh didn't try to extend his business frontiers beyond Tollywood.

Most of our actors are making plans to conquer other states like Tamilnadu and Kerala. Allu Arjun has already earned so much name and fame in Kerala. Ram Charan and others are following the suit. Mahesh despite being a super power in Tollywood market never tried to set his foot in other states. Businessman was supposed to release in Tamil and Malayalam along with Telugu. But that didn't happen.

Finally it is happening with Dookudu. This film is the biggest hit in Mahesh Babu's career till now. The makers of Dookudu believe that it will work in other languages too and are releasing the dubbed version of Dookudu in Kerala shortly. Recently Malayalam version's audio was launched too. Hope it leaves a strong impression so that all of Mahesh's future ventures get a simultaneous release in Malayalam.

Tamanna & Aish Overriding Mahesh & Nag

Two biggest sexy starlets are now overriding two super stars of Telugu industry with their ravishing glamour. Though these two heroes have no matches from their male contemporaries, these women are giving them a tough time.

More than film circuit, it is ad-circuit that is defining the stamina of our stars these days, because acting in ad-campaign means the reach is diverse and unique. Both Mahesh and Tamanna are competing in local cell phone segment, where a retailer Univercell and a manufacturer Celkon had them as their brand ambassadors. Unlike these two, Nagarjuna and Aishwarya are both the faces of Kalyan Jewellers. Generally, the latest ambassador of any product overrides the previous star endorsing it. So the buzz is who will surpass Tamanna and Aish, and maybe Mahesh and Nag will come with new concepts to put their names first, feels an observer.

Hero admits being intimate with Anushka

Tamil star Arya who recently completed a grueling schedule in Georgia with Anushka for acclaimed director Sevaraghavan's film Irandam Ulagam (Brundavanam Lo Nandakumarudu in Telugu) admitted doing few intimate scene with hot actress. "As our film is a love story, we have done a few intimate scenes. The director has shot these love making scenes aesthetically. One thing is for sure, they aren't vulgar or far from decency," confirms the actor.

Arya is full of praise for Anushka who co-operated with the unit and shot her scenes in extreme weather conditions. "Anushka is one of my best co-stars. She never throws tantrums, a thorough professional and extremely hard working. She was the only woman in the unit of 80 members in Georgia, but she never complained about anything despite unfavorable conditions," he revealed.

The film aimed for a Sankranthi release is made with a whopping budget of Rs 50 crores. Both Arya and Anushka plays dual roles. Anushka will be seen as doctor and also the wife of of stylish played by Arya in present times. She will also be seen as a tribal queen who falls for a tribal man played by Arya. The unit is raving about Anushka's performance in the film. Will this film bring more mileage to Anushka than Arundathi? Let's wait and watch!

Can Thaman Do Justice To Top Heroes?

When Telugu industry is grooving to the melodies of Mani Sharma and beats of Devisri Prasad, there entered Thaman giving a fresh feel to music lovers with his differently sounding tunes. But when a couple of his own films clash, only one is standing a winner and this is a threat.

During the times of 'Businessman', Thaman rocked the charts with 'Bodyguard' too. Main reason for producers depending on Thaman is not just his fresh music but also budget and availability reasons. Firstly he prefers to stay with directors even during shoot times and secondly his charges are reasonable. But in the end, people felt that the background score and some tunes are repetitive in Venky's movie, reminding us of 'Kick' and 'Mirapakay'.

This time he is coming with 'Naayak', 'Baadshah' and 'Shadow' for the Sankranti season and maybe 'Balupu' will also join the league. The big doubts if Charan, NTR, Venky and Raviteja get proper attention and differently sounding tunes from Thaman. Some say he can give thrilling and vivid background scores but fails to maintain that in songs.

For now, this is considered as a threat and only when the audio hits tinsel town, we'll know versatility of Thaman.

Rana takes a long break for Sister

Ever since Tollywood hunk Rana Daggubati made his debut as a Hero, the actor is literally living out of his suitcase as he is juggling between projects from different Industries. With back-to-back films, he hardly took a break in past two years or so. But, the handsome actor has finally decided to take one and that too for his Sister Malavika who is tying the knot in December this year.

Malavika, a management graduate, got engaged to Bharath who owns several software companies in Bengaluru in a private function attended by family and close friends on August 12. The wedding will be a grand affair which will be graced by the South film fraternity and Politicians in Hyderabad on December 5.

Rana who recently wrapped up the shoot of his Tamil film which stars Ajith and the Telugu flick Krishnam Vande Jagadguru directed by Krish (Gamyam and Vedam fame) has taken leave from work till December to foresee his sister's wedding arrangements. So, he will begun the shooting of his new projects only in 2013. Finally, a much-needed break for this Tollywood casanova!

Nag backs out of race against Pawan

Yes, King Nagarjuna backed out of race against Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. The star studded films 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu' and 'Damarukam' will be released with a gap of at least one week.

Although Damarukam was scheduled to release on October 12 earlier classing with Pawan Kalyan's CGR (Oct 11), Nagarjuna have decided to back out of the race now as this move might end up eating each other collections at the Box Office. So, the release of Damarukan was postponed by a week (Oct 19) . If CGR gets a positive talk, then Nag's film might be pushed further.

While CGR unit completed the shooting of entire shooting part except for three songs, this action entertainer has shaped up well with Pawan's powerful performance as a special attraction and Puri's terrific one-liners. Damarukam, which is touted to be highest budget film in Nag's career, has wrapped up it's shooting long time back. The visuals effects of the film are said to stunning and DSP's rocking music will be big asset to this film. As two biggies are gearing up for release, fireworks are expected this October!

Prabhas Aims the Top League

Producer Selling 'Rambabu' Like Chocolates

With Pawan's craze reaching peaks after Gabbar Singh and the recent making video of Rambabu spreading like wildfire, producer Danayya is in celebrations. It is now heard that he is selling the film like Chocolates in USA.

These days overseas markets are becoming one of the key factors to recover the investment. When US distributors offered 5 crores, Danayya has rejected them outright to sell his Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. Everyone thought he is building castles in the air, but now he proved his detractors wrong. Reports have that around Rambabu is sold in 13 centres for around 1.3 crores ($260K), a sort of record. There are more than 60 centres to be sold and the producer is selling it like a hot chocolate, expecting a whopping 12 crores. US local distributors revealed that Rambabu will be releasing in highest number of theatres in USA.

Looks like, Puri's strategy of rising expectations worked out perfectly for the flick and Powerstar's recent success has given the much needed blow. We have to see how Danayya will satisfy audience before filling out his pockets to the full.

Ileana Sets Time Frame for Bikini

Ileana who is eagerly waiting for the release of Bollywood debut Barfi is open to wear a bikini for her future projects. But, before doing that she has to met her own expectations. "If I was asked to sport a bikini for a role, I'm ready to do that but I need to check whether I'm in perfect shape to fit the bill.
