Story Line: Nani (Nani) is neighbor to Bindu (Samantha), he falls in love with her and she too responds positively but doesn’t express it. Sudeep(Sudeep) is multi- millionaire who runs construction business, and he lusts Bindu. Sudeep comes to know about their affair and kills Nani. Nani, in his rebirth is born as ‘Eega’ (a housefly) and remembers the incident occurred in last birth and how he takes revenge on Sudeep is what the movie is about?
Performances: Nani’s role is limited to a run time of 20minutes. He came up with some good work. Samantha is cute and lovable. Sudeep steals the show with fantastic performance in the negative role. Other than the three characters there are very few notable characters. The visual effects have come out very well. The cinematography is good. Music is hum able. The background score is superb. Considering the special effects part the Direction is good. But overall the movie lacks a gripping and interesting narration. The production values are rich.
Analysis: The most anticipated film of the year 2012, ‘Eega’, is a fantasy film written and directed by Tollywood’s ace director SS Rajamouli. The movie is simultaneously released in Tamil and Malayalam also. The very idea of making the Fly (Eega) as protagonist is unique and interesting. The Execution part could have been better (The way story was told). Janardhan Maharshi assisted Rajamouli in the Telugu script (Dialogues) work and Crazy Mohan in the Tamil script
Nani is good and natural. He is confined to only a few romantic & love scenes with Samantha which came well. The song picturised on them was decent. Samantha suited to the role well. She looked girl next door in those costumes. Sudeep is the show stealer with fabulous acting (It’s difficult to come up with such expressions and acting with no real character around). He impresses well as the bad guy. He evoked some laughs when Eega irritates him.
Rajamouli is weak in comedy department and this movie too has very limited comedy (only the Eega and Sudeep episodes designed in the typical tom and Jerry style) but the movie entertains in the form of Visual effects. The CGI and VFX work is top notch. As Rajamouli said Eega was started as a small-budget experimental film but when it started developing it grew bigger with the budget of quality VFX work. With over 90 minutes of realistic animation and visual effects, the total film costed more than 30crores.
Music has already a couple of chart busters aired on TV. The Background score by Keeravani is very good. He delivered the required output. He usually comes up with very good score in Rajamouli movies and this one is not an exception. The Art work is good. The editing by Kotagiri is fine. Cinematography by Senthil is promising. The film has very limited characters. It bores you in the middle and if you are not connected to the point then it may even irritate you. The locations are also limited and repetitive. The logic has gone for toss many times (since the script is highly fictional & fantasy filled).The narration of the film in the non graphics part is slow and repetitive(point). If you go with the logical issues you will be highly disappointed. So make-up your mind and watch it in a relaxed mood to enjoy more. If you have an interest for animated/cartoonist movies then this movie is for you.
There are some scenes which came up well--- Eega teasing and irritating Sudeep, the scene where Eega reveals that he is Nani, the car accident and interval episode, the Climax. The presence of a Star hero could have helped Rajamouli in pulling up the movie. The Brand name Rajamouli is the force which drags you to the theaters. Rajamouli has definitely taken the Tollywood Industry to the next level with quality effects. It’s up to the masses to decide the collections of this flick at the Box-office. “Eega” is a visual feast which will appeal to the children more.

Rajamouli has been under tremendous pressure for Eega as this film has no star hero to bank upon. It is a thirty crore project with no real star in it. Rajamouli took the onus to make this project a successful venture and has put in blood for it. Eega caught the attention of one and all and the pre release buzz was magnanimous.
Every one is 'Eega'rly waiting for the audiences verdict and the first talk of this film is out. Eega has been premiered in Dubai and Naan Ee (Tamil) was screened in Chennai. Going by the reports from Dubai, Eega is a visual wonder with excellent graphics. Sudeep has put up a mind blowing show and so did Keeravani with his terrific background score. Interval episode and the play between Sudeep and Eega stands out, they say. Few comedy scenes have come out well too.
Eega has many thrills that will impress the majority audience and kids will have a blast says a source. Naan Ee too received good response from the Tamil audience. They are thoroughly enjoying it. However, there are few flaws in the movie which may not appeal to all the age groups, says the buzz. All in all, Rajamouli did deliver yet again and Eega has the necessary ingredients to go the distance and succeed at the box office. Wait for the detailed review to know the final verdict on this most awaited film.

Asin Thottumkal faced an embarrassment situation recently. The actress was in Dubai for the shoot of her forthcoming Bollywood film. To make use of the short gaps during the shooting, Asin went on a shopping spree. After picking up her favorites in a shopping mall, she came to the counter to settle the bills and only then she realized that she forgot to bring her wallet. With no money in hand, Asin was struck in mall for hours.
Embarrassed Asin finally called up the makers of the film and informed them about her situation. They immediately sent one of the unit members to clear the dues of the actress. Asin breathed a sigh of relief after the payment and walked away from there immediately. It's now clear that this South beauty will never forget her wallet in future!

Reports from Chennai are indicating that Superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming 3D flick 'Kochadaiyaan' is all set to hit theatres on 12-12-12. This magical date also coincides with the birthday of Rajni. This film is being directed by Superstar's younger daughter Soundarya and is currently wrapping up its post production work. Earlier, the makers have announced that the audio launch of 'Kochadaiyaan' will be held in Tokyo likely in September or October. Movie will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and English across the world.
If releasing on 12-12-12 is true, then there is no doubt that big films aiming the December slot should either back off or come front. Critics are expecting Rajni's flick as an Indian 'Avatar' and 'Tin Tin'. Let us see!

Producer Sai Korrapati, who is all set to test his luck with the audience tomorrow (July 6th), reveals his 'Eega' journey. 'Actually Rajamouli told me that we'll wrap up Eega with digital technology on a shoe string budget of 2 crores. But that went up to 30 crores now with more CG work falling in place', the producer says. He stated that he and his friends who have invested that budget are extremely confident of Jakanna and hence extended their budget. After watching the first copy of the movie, Sai Korrapati is a happy man that his entire budget is coming back to his pocket simply.
Cine lovers are saying that journeying from 2 crores to 30 crores is not a joke and shows how confident the director and producer are about their product. We have to wait for one more day to know the actual fate of this flick.

Tollywood to protest against New service tax regime!

The new service tax regime introduced by the Government which came in to effect from 1st of July had hit hard the film stars and other technicians across the country. According to this new regime, 12% Service tax will be levied on all the services except 38 activities put on negative list.
And now the actors will have to pay 12 percentage service tax along with 30 percentage Income tax.
Filmmakers from across industries, including Sanjay Dutt and Mukesh Bhatt, have been discussing with Suresh Babu, the President of Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce on what to do next.
Movie Artists' Association is planning to give a representation to the Government to reduce the tax below 5%. They are even planning to go on a national bandh, if necessary.

Actor Siddharth who recently co-produced 'Love Failure on Etaki Entertainments banner had suffered a lot to release the movie. Finally released it through Bellamkond Suresh. Siddharth tweeted, “We grew up at a time when 4-5 films released together and if they were good, they did well. Today, big films release alone. Power talks! Every rule of the free market is being violated in film distribution today.This encourages bad cinema as it becomes financially justifiable. We have more screens in India today per sq. km than ever before, and yet 100s of films are doomed to never release because of the politics! Everytime I meet a filmmaker with a completed film lying unreleased,it breaks my heart. The system is harshest on the most talented.Strange!”

Raghu Kunche has shot to fame long back both as an anchor and singer. For people who reside outside India, Raghu is a very familiar face as he does numerous stage shows every year. Off late, this base-voice singer tried his luck with music direction with help of his good friends like Puri Jagan. He succeeded with a couple of songs, but failed to create impact with whole albums. 'Bumper Offer' and 'Aha Na Pellanta' are the examples from past while the recent 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' too falls under same category.
