Suresh Babu is overwhelmed with the critical acclaim his film has been getting and its remarkable business at the Box Office. For the first time in his 25-years long film career, he hugged a director (Rajamouli) after watching a film and feels proud to be part of a film like Eega.
Off late, Telugu films haven't got a proper recognition at the National level. Sadly, none of the Telugu films hasn't even qualified at least under regional best film category last year. But this time, Suresh Babu is confident that Eega should sweep the National Awards at any cost. "Since few years, we have been hearing that Telugu films were neglected at National level. If Eega wasn't given due respect, then we have to believe that there is discrimination towards Telugu films," stressed Suresh Babu.
According to the makers, Eega should bag at least 5 major awards (Best Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Villain, Best Film and Best Art Director).
