Divorced Aunty eyeing Prabhas!

If a sportswoman gets popular then media always shoots one question at her. "How about taking up movies?" is the stock question that comes up for every popular sportswoman and most of them doesn't respond positively. One sports lady that doesn't rule out acting is Jwala Gutta, famous badminton player.
Jwala Gutta who married and later divorced Chetan Anand is currently continuing with her game. She has an eye for fashion and likes to come out in glamorous outfits that are usually worn by film actresses. This makes media even curious about her interest in films and Jwala too responds positively. In her latest interview she told that she may act if she gets an offer from any hero that is taller than her.
Is she referring to Tollywood macho man Prabhas? May be! Jwala expressed her interest to pair up with Prabhas in her previous interviews too. There were rumors in the past that she is being considered for a role in one of Prabhas's films. With the latest statement she has once again made it clear that she would love to act with him. Is he ready to romance this half Chinese, half Indian sportswoman? Well, the ball is in Prabhas court now.

The reason we say this is after hearing this incident. It is heard that when director Sampath Nandi was roped in for 'Racha' a token amount was given as advance and balance remuneration was promised depending on the outcome of the movie. The film became a major hit and this is what Charan did.
It is heard that out of the promised remuneration, one half of it was given in cash and the other half presented in the form of a BMW X series car. Usually if money is given it is not remembered for long but Charan has reportedly ensured that Sampath Nandi remembers the gesture forever. This is stylish!!
Pawan's CGR sets a High Risk Game

Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh turned out to be a gigantic hit in all the territories which is prompting the buyers to shell out big bucks on Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. Gabbar Singh collected a share close to 65 crores and buyers are betting on CGR by putting GS as the benchmark. This is high risk business as all the movies can't be Gabbar Singh.
For example CGR rights were sold for 5 crore rupees in overseas. Except for Gabbar Singh none of Pawan's previous films collected at least 3 crores in this region. Gabbar Singh's mighty success might come handy for CGR, but 5 crore is a huge amount to recover. Same happened for Businessman as buyers invested big money keeping Dookudu in mind.
Despite collecting more than 3.5 crores in overseas, Businessman ended up as a loss venture there due to the high prices it was sold for. Incidentally, director is the same for CGR and Businessman. CGR makers are quoting high prices in AP too. To recover those amounts, CGR will have to do as good as Gabbar Singh, which is not possible all the time.

Khaleja fears haunt 'Julayi' Trivikram

Trivikram's previous film Khaleja was released when Rajinikanth's Robo was in full swing. Robo released on October 1 and Khaleja came out on Oct 7 that year. Robo's mania has simply blown Khaleja away and it has ended up as a disaster for Trivikram. Khaleja got average reviews and the film was not that bad to be a dud.
Even Mahesh Babu couldn't save the day for Khaleja as superstar Rajinikanth and Shankar ruled the roost. Now Trivikram's Julayi is caught in a similar situation as Eega has been getting tremendous response from all the corners. Like Robo, this movie is also something different from the rest of the movies and also struck chord with families and kids.
Julayi was supposed to release on 13th of July prior to Eega release. Now the blockbuster talk for Eega forced Julayi team to push their film by a week. Will Eega slow down by then or will Trivikram film gets in to trouble due to tough opposition yet again, has to be seen. Hope Julayi too does well and keep Telugu Cinema's dream run alive for some more time.

Five Reasons That Power'ed 'Gabbar Singh'

Well, with 'Eega' hitting the theatres with ample craze and hit talk, collections of Powerstar's blockbuster is coming down a bit. Let us have a look at the reasons that powered 'Gabbar Singh' to rule the throne for a couple of months. There are five good reasons that stood by Pawan's side to score this hit.
1) Pawan Kalyan : The main reason and biggest reason behind the stupendous success of GS is none other than Pawan itself. Had any other essayed the same role, the response would have been meagre. His perfect style and mannerism aimed at mass have yielded a giant output. The hero stopped giving social messages and tried to showcase the perfect definition of a star hero with his larger than life fights and dialogues.
2) Harish Shankar: Previously, all directors tried to showcase Pawan in different new getups but failed miserably. Unlike them Harish Shankar got the pulse of fans correctly by portraying Pawan as a demi-god on the screen. Harish defied logic and has given maximum screen time to Powerstar to keep fans glued to seats. His mass and pulsating dialogues written for the hero are the best one-liners witnessed ever in any Pawan's film.
3) Mega Fans: More than a Dabangg (Hindi) and Osti (Tamil), Gabbar Singh smashed the records all over with its power packed punch and style. No doubt, there is no proper movie from Mega camp heroes after the success of magnum opus 'Magadheera'. With GS becoming a perfect meal for fans, they have tried to eat it more than a couple of times and played a key role in collections.
4) Kevvu-Keka: Foot tapping music scored by Devisri has become a chartbuster right from day one of audio release. At the same time, Pawan tried to shake his body for many mass-steps rather just jumping and leaping with his trademark moves. Among all, 'Kevvu Keka' became a household name though the song failed to satisfy audience visually.
5) Flop Summer: After 'Racha' Tollywood has not witnessed a single flick that can stand at Box Office. All big budgeted movies like Dammu, Daruvu and Adhinayakudu remained average grosser, paving way for GS to mint money. At the same time, there are no small films too to divert the attention of people. Trade experts say that this factor too helped Pawan's flick to run with housefuls for a long time.

Nearly after two decades after her death, a biopic is being planned on her life. She is none other than gorgeous Divya Bharathi. The story of the film is about an actress who falls in love with an upcoming producer and later died under mysterious circumstances, falling from her apartment.
Divya Bharathi married producer Sajid Nadiadwala when she was at her prime. She died under suspicious circumstances on April 5, 1993. As per the police records, she fell from the window ledge of her five-story apartment. At that time, Divya Bharathi was acting in 14 films opposite star heroes and all of them were at different stages of production. These figures itself speak how big a star she was at that time! Some films were released later by replacing her with other actresses and few others were shelved unable to find the actress to match her.
Now the search is on to find a Divya Bharathi lookalike for this biopic and the film is expected to go to the floors soon!

Software Director Gives Relief To Fans

Many software directors like Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru (LBW fame) are taking longer times than expected to deliver a movie now. But another star director turned software engineer is the king of them.
We are talking about sensible director Sekhar Kammula who has went silent for more than a year without divulging any information related to him. The talented professional is working on 'Life Is Beautiful' from a long time, but never revealed any reason that is behind the delay of the movie. Finally, he has given relief to fans by bringing 'Life Is Beautiful' news into lime light now. Profiles of actors acting in this flick and some working stills are released to media to enthral the fans.
Talented directors like Sekhar Kammula should come up with more films in less time to keep both fans happy and business prospects of Tollywood flourishing. Let us hope this director will break all hurdles to release the flick soon!
Vaitla & Krish - Who Will Top? Who Will Drop?

Sreenu Vaitla is on signing spree after delivering a blockbuster like 'Dookudu' and is currently busy with 'Baadshah'. Director Krish is a bit slow in making movies but still he crafts them with excellence. He is now busy with 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum'. Both these directors are heard narrating a script to Superstar Mahesh Babu for which the hero gave an immediate nod. Vaitla is said to be coming up with another action kind of subject, while Krish's movie is a social issue related melodrama. But Mahesh has not given clarity to both these directors by not telling them which movie he will do first.
Cine lovers say that if Mahesh scores a hit with family drama 'Seethamma Vaakitlo..', then Krish's movie will be on top and Vaitla have to drop. If SVSC tumbles at Box Office, then Mahesh will prefer doing another commercial movie, so Vaitla will top and Krish will drop.

Sharing his thoughts, Krish reportedly mentioned that the actor in Rana would be revealed through this film and added that in one place the young hero is seen in Narasimha Swamy Avataram. This has brought many to ask one question – is Krish making comedy of Rana?
They say “If one has to enact Lord Narasimha Swamy’s role what acting is required and what expressions are required? One has to simply wear a lion’s face mask. Is Krish saying this like a satirical comedy? Of course, we will be happy to see Rana perform but what wonders Krish can create with the Narasimha Swamy bit, is a big mystery.”

There is a common belief in the film industry that two actresses working on the same project can never stand each other and have a cold war. And this time, a rift seems to have happened between two ladies from different departments. One is a lady director and the other is the film’s heroine.
We are talking about the duo of Pooja Bhatt and Sunny Leone respectively. Reports say that all this happened on the sets of the film ‘Jism 2’ wherein Pooja lashed out at Sunny. Due to this, it is heard that Sunny went back to US much before the schedule. She had originally planned to stay till the film’s release.
Unit members reveal that Pooja is known for her foul mouth and abusive language. And though Sunny treated her as a mentor, this was totally off the limits and Sunny Broke down on the sets. Unable to take the humiliation, Sunny has returned to the US. Let us see if any patch up occurs before the film’s release.
