When People Laughed at Mahesh Babu

The most tough phase in Mahesh Babu was the 3 years gap he took after the film Athidi. This is really a big risk as no actor would want to take a break from work when he/she is at peak stage in their career. Critics has written him off and comments like he will be forgotten had made rounds everywhere. But Mahesh never lost the self belief and compensated the loss with two consecutive blockbusters. Recalling the old memories, Mahesh says,"People laughed at him during that phase as I was sitting idle without doing any films, but I never cared about them". Now, Mahesh gives the credit for the success of his recent films to the long gap he had taken. The actor says he now hears a script from the character perspective and wouldn't say 'Mahesh can't do that', 'Fans won't accept if Mahesh does it' and 'Audience expect this from Mahesh'. So, we can expect a different Mahesh Babu in every film and this will be refreshing not only for the actor himself but also for the movie lovers.
